A team of us designed the space for 'Imagining the Future 2023', an open space meeting to discuss the possibility of a European Capital of Culture bid for the city of Leeds. Together with Kizzy Davies, Hannah Wilson, Katie Winter and Carmel Woolmington, we made the city from cardboard in a grand total of 3 days.

The Tongue Twister 2015!
The Tongue Twister at HOME in Manchester as part of Re:play festival 2015.

There once was a land where rhyming was banned,
If spoken or even a whisper.
And if you were caught you’d soon understand,
Why the bogeyman’s called the Tongue Twister.
But in walks a boy who rhymes all the time,
Forever speaking in verse.
To rhyme is sublime and should not be a crime,
His tongue is surely a curse!

Amelia's Magazine Illustration - Little May
Here is an illustration that I did last month for Amelia's magazine and her interview with Australian trio Little May. I was really inspired by one of their older music videos 'Hide'... with truly beautiful images of bonfires in forests.
Amelia, of Amelia's Magazine, is also currently running a kickstarter campaign, to fund a wonderful golden book, titled 'That Which We Do Not Understand'. Her campaign can be found here, and it really does look to be a fantastic publication, full of amazing work from illustrators and writers from across the world. Do pledge if you can!

Haringey Shed Summer Project
This summer I designed Haringey Shed's summer school production based at the circus! The kids involved got to learn lots of circus skills from Upswing and so much fun was had by everyone. It wouldn't have been possible without the amazing group of volunteers that helped make it happen, including my amazing assistant illustrator extraordinaire Chloe Wyatt who designed and painted the wonderful poster. 2 weeks hard work paid off!

27, Haringey Shed
I've just finished working on designing and realising '27' a new play for Haringey Shed, a modern day re-telling of Lord of the Flies at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre.
Production Photos by Tracey Anderson
The story begins with a group of children and young people finding themselves mysteriously shipwrecked on an island. Running parallel to the original story of Lord of the Flies, suspicion and anger begins to rise amongst the many children thrust together, and tensions rise. The Makepeace family, who arrived on the island before the rest of the group are inspired by Nelson Mandela's 27 years on Robben Island, and leave clues around the island to help to bring the group together in peace.
